Jeff Goldblum And The Mildred Snitzer Orchestra Tempe Concert reviews
The Worst Concert You've Ever Been to
The actual concert -- just remarkably awful. Whether it was the fault of the actual arena staff or the band's sound engineers, we do not know but the sound was unbelievably terrible. The staff were efficient and mannerly. Never been to the Bridgestone Arena and it was a decent venue. We looked forward to this event for almost 2 years. Our seating was not the greatest but we did notice 4 large video screens behind the stage and, silly us, we thought they would be utilized for close ups of faces of the band members and of their musical instruments during play. Instead we got videos of clouds, ocean waves, geometric shapes and even fires (this while they played a song about Northern California (!!!!). The music was overly loud and unenjoyable. The solos by the sax player were painful on the ears. Words to songs were garbled and distorted and unintelligible. I have been going to concerts since the 60s (yes, I'm kind of old) and this was by far the absolute worst. Huge disappointment. We toughed it out for over an hour and then left (as did many of the people seated around us). Big waste of money and time and effort on our part.
